I feed DOGSWELL treats to my dog every day and have never experienced a problem. Has anyone seen Food Inc. or read Fast Food Nation?? Just because something is produced in the US, does not make it healthy, safe or ethically sourced. I imagine it’s more sustainable and less wasteful to get chicken from China, the Chinese don’t use white meat chicken, so it gets thrown out otherwise. If you’re feeding commercial (grocery-bought food) you’re feeding your dogs some pretty gross stuff. I suggest you look into things a little more before ignorantly blaming China.

I gave my dog dogwell treats for a few years. At age 6 he died of cancer. I couldn’t find out the cause but you can bet I will never buy anything from china again. He never got sick from the product but to die at 6 years old, you tend to look for a reason. We should be supporting the US any way.

It’s pretty shocking. And the comments by the Chinese family were pretty distressing–to think that you don’t worry about where your food came from. I can’t condone that ignorance is an escape from responsibility. You are what you eat. In all the sense of what that phrase means. To be that wasteful and disregarding to the things in our sea, as if the sea has an over abundance of life in it that results in an unlimited playground for us to dabble in, through, and over, is not only naive but reckless. 90% of this planet is covered in the stuff we call water, but it’s the least understood. No matter what our fear is around or about sharks, and we all have the preconceived notions from such movies as Jaws, shark’s play an absolute role in the balance that is in our oceans. What happens if we fish all the fish in the sea, we kill all the whales, we kill all the sharks–what happens then? It’s more than sad.
