Create a variable called OPENSSL_CONF and map this to the OpenSSL configuration file in C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.2\conf\openssl.cnf which may appear as speeddial icon. Then click the openssl.exe in the bin folder and boom works.
